Yahshua in the Old Testament
Yahshua in the Old Testament
The prophecies given through Yahshua in the Old Testament, are confirmed throughout His New Testament revelations so that all are without an excuse.
Luke 12:2 for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
Those who are truly born-again are Sealed or set apart unto Yahshua. This means that they are given the down payment of the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption, which is their Salvation (Eph 1:13-14, 4:30, 2 Cor 1:22). When we have the Spirit of truth, we can also rightly divide the Word of truth.
Yahshua is the architect of both the Old and New Covenants. However, all who falsely claim to be justified by the Old Law that has been replaced shall die in their sins (Heb 10:26-29).
Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord
Rightly dividing the Word of truth enables us to understand that Yahshua is Yahweh who was manifest in the flesh to take away our sins. Yahshua fulfilled that which the Law and the prophets declared concerning His promise to both the Old and the New Testament saints alike.
Gal 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the nations through Yahshua the Messiah; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
The New Covenant of Christ was the promise given to all of the children of Abraham, who is the father of all that had a like faith in Yahshua the Messiah (2 Tim 4:8; Rom 4:16, 8:2).
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in the Messiah Yahshua hath made me free from the law of sin even death
Yahshua’s New Testament covenant would also redeem those who were under the Old Law. His promise was that they too might receive the eternal inheritance (Gal 2:16, 3:13, 4:4-5, Rom 3:20-28, 6:14, 7:4, Heb 7:11-13, 9:15). Yahshua came to redeem the true Israel of God (Rom 9:6, Gal 3:18-24, Eph 2:15, Gal 6:15-16).
Romans 8:11 And if the Spirit of Yahshua who is risen from the dead dwells in you, the Messiah who is risen from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you
Yahshua in the Old Testament – the Salvation of Yahweh
John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, even Yahshua the Messiah who is sent forth
Yahshua is God manifest in the flesh (1 Tim 3:16, Col 1:15). Yahshua did not come forth from Himself, but He proceeded or came forth from Yahweh. The same can be said of his name.
Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am Yahweh; and beside me there is no Savior
To understand the identity of Yahshua in the Old Testament, we need to comprehend the meaning of His true name. The name of our God is not Jesus, it is Yahshua.
Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah our God
The name Yahshua literally means Yahweh is my Salvation, or Yah has become my Salvation. The name Jesus carries with it no meaning whatsoever.
Isaiah prophesized of Yahshua in the Old Testament. And they shall proclaim in that day unto God; we have waited for our Salvation Yahweh, we have waited, and we will be joyful and rejoice in Yahshua (Isaiah 25:9).
Zech 9:9 Rejoice greatly O daughter of Zion, shout O daughter of Jerusalem, behold thy King cometh unto thee the righteous Savior…
Yahshua in the Old Testament is given the title of the Everlasting Father (Isa 9:6). Isaiah, Zechariah, and Luke, all speak of the One True God.
Luke 1:67-69 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel that hath visited, also to redeem his people
This particular word praise (H 2176) is only found in the following three verses. Below are the praise scriptures unto Yahshua in the Old Testament.
Psalms 118:14 The Lord is my strength praise be unto Yahshua
Exodus 15:2 The Lord is my strength, praise Yahshua he is my God
Isaiah 12:2 In my God Yahshua I will trust, and not be afraid; the Lord Yahweh is my strength praise be to Yahshua
The Glory given to Yahshua in the Old Testament is very difficult to dismiss. This same glory is brought to light in the New Testament as well.
Matt 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel

Yahshua in the Old Testament – Immanuel the Mighty God
Immanuel means God with us, and the prophecies given through Yahshua in the Old Testament are revealed to those who can understand His New Testament Covenant.
Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Yahshua .
Daniel prophesied that the New Covenant would be confirmed with many. Part of that prophecy was fulfilled during Yahshua’s 3 1/2 year ministry. Yahshua would take away the sins of the world and Baptize the Elect with his Holy Spirit (Dan 9:27, John 1:29, Heb 8:9).
To understand this mystery refer to the article Yahshua is Yahweh manifest in the flesh, and He shall confirm the covenant with many as well as the entire trinity series. The Christ of the New Testament is the promised Messiah who is the Savior of the world. The promise given to Abraham would be available to all who would receive Yahshua’s Holy Spirit.
The correct interpretation of the truths hidden in Daniel 9:27, will start the process of unraveling the deception in prophecy teaching. Refer to the introductory study guide entitled confirm the covenant with many at destined to be revealed. Under the second covenant, the shed blood of Yahshua was the final sacrifice for our sins.
Dan 9:27 Confirm the covenant with many for one week; in the midst of the week the sacrifice and the oblation will cease…
The Lamb of God was manifest in the flesh to take away the sins of the world. Yahshua indeed caused the sacrifice or sin offerings to cease.
Abraham believed, or put his trust in God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness (Rom 4:3).
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
The blessing of Abraham would be made available to all through Yahshua. We can receive the promise of the Spirit through faith in Him alone (Gal 3:14).
Gal 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
Yahshua explained to the Judeans that Abraham rejoiced to see the arrival of his Lord and Savior (John 8:56).
Abraham rejoiced in Yahshua, who is his Redeemer, for He would save His people from their sins (Mat 1:21, Isa 25:9, 33:22, 43:11, 45:21-22).
Yahshua declared “truly, truly, I say unto you, before Abraham was, I am.” The law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto our Messiah, that we might be justified by our faith in Him. Our inheritance is not through the Law; it is the reward given unto the servants of Yahshua who is the Lawgiver (Gal 3:24-25, Col 3:24, Heb 8:9).
Gen 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed
This blessing was to Abraham, nor the modern day nation of Israel. The blessings of Abraham come on all that have a like faith in Yahshua. The reason for this is that the promises were made to Abraham and his seed, which is Christ (Gal 3:14-16).
Romans 4:13-14 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
Yahshua in the Old Testament more than a prophet
Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting
Micah also prophecized of Yahshua in the Old Testament.
Mic 7:7 Therefore I will look unto Yahweh, I will wait for the God of my salvation, my God will hear me.
Yahshua was in the world that was made by him, and yet most of the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and they received him not (John 1:10-11).
John 6:14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Yahshua did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.
One of the great prophecies about the arrival of Yahshua in the Old Testament is given through Isaiah and confirmed by John the Baptist.
Isa 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of Yahweh, make straight in the desert a highway for Elohim.
When Isaiah says to prepare the way for Yahweh, a highway for Elohim, he is speaking of the One true God.
Mat 3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
The promise given to Israel was to be realized in Yahshua (Acts 13:23; Rom 9:8; Gal 3:14-16). And yet, it was also prophesized of Yahshua in the Old Testament, that He would be despised and rejected of men (Isaiah 53:3).
Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith Yahweh the King of Israel, the redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Yahshua is referred to as the Alpha and Omega, or the first and the last, in six different verses in Revelations (Rev 1:8, 11, 17, 2:8, 21:6, 22:13).
Rev 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive
Yahshua in the Old Testament and the true Israel of God
The redeemed of the Lord, are those who Yahshua has delivered from the power of death. At the true second gathering of His Israel, Yahshua will return to reign in mount Zion.
When we see the Great Tribulation events start to unfold, we are told to look for His return, as our Redemption is at hand (Luke 21:28). The redeemed of the Lord will receive the promise of Salvation, which occurs at Yahshua’s Second Coming.
All of the faithful under the first covenant, also partake in the eternal inheritance through Yahshua (Heb 9:15).
It is high time that those who call themselves members of the church stop obeying the False teachers that have gained control over them.
Yahshua our God, is the only true Shepherd of our souls, and we must obey him if we are to come out of the darkness and step into his marvelous light.
Isaiah 11:11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people…
Isaiah 11:4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
Yahshua does not sit at the right hand of God, He is the right hand or power of God.
Yahshua said, “I am come in my Father’s name” also “I came forth from the Father.” Yahshua also proclaimed, “I even the Father are One.” These three verses expose the false doctrine of the trinity rather well (Isaiah 9:6, John 10:30). One true God cannot exist as three eternally distinct persons. The entire premise of this statement is an oxymoron.
Yahshua said to his disciples, whosoever knows me knows my Father also, and from this time you know him, and also behold him (John 14:7).
Rev 19:15-16 Also out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he himself will strike the nations therfore ruling them with a rod of iron, also treading the winepress of the fierceness even the wrath as Almighty God. Even so he hath on his vesture and also on his thigh a name written, King of Kings, moreover Lord of Lords
Yahshua in the Old Testament is given the title of the Almighty God (Isa 9:6).
Jer 32:17 Oh Adonai Yahweh thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
Yahshua will shatter the power of the kings of the earth, during the day of his wrath, and His thousand year Reign will begin (Psalms 110:5, Rev 20:4-6).
Isaiah 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them
There will no longer be evil or corruption in the holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea (Isaiah 11:9).
Isaiah 11:11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Adonai shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea
Yahshua in the Old Testament the Savior
Zech 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass
That which is born of the flesh is of the flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is of the Spirit.
Unless we are born-again a true knowledge of the Kingdom of God is not possible; we can have the assurance of Salvation by no other means.
2 Tim 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, even the Lord Yahshua the Messiah, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom
Being born again and receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit are one in the same. Unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he can not enter into the Kingdom of God (John 3:3-8).
The greatest tragedy is believing you are born-again without ever experiencing the true indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This lie is an empty promise that leads to death and destruction, as the ability to truly understand Yahshua and His life-changing testimony is impossible without His Spirit (John 14:17; 15:26; 16:13; Eph 1:13).
Isaiah 62:11 Behold, Yahweh hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy Savior cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him
