The New Covenant of Christ
The New Covenant of Christ is received by those who have the Holy Spirit dwelling within them. This new law is unto everlasting life, wherein the faithful can escape the old law of sin unto death (Rom 8:2, John 14:17, 26, 16:13).
Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Those who claim to be under the Old Testament law, are not led by the Spirit of Christ that reveals the truth and sets us free (John 8:32, Gal 5:4, 18).
Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
No man could be justified by the law that was given unto Moses, except through faith in Yahshua the Messiah. Grace and truth which are found in Christ will lead us unto eternal life (Gal 2:16, John 1:17, Acts 15:11, Rom 5:21).
Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Not unlike the prophets that were sent by Him, Yahshua was not well received in Jerusalem. The false tribe of Judah had been perverted by the religion of the scribes and pharisees (Gal 1:13-14, Mat 21:13, 23:33-38, Rev 2:9). The pharisees who both killed the Lord Yahshua, and their own prophets, were the spiritual fathers of modern day judaism (1 Thes 2:15).
John 3:3 Yahshua answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Those that would receive Him, through the baptism of the Holy Spirit would become the sons of God. These were born again, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (Luke 4:24, 13:34-35, John 1:11-13).
Isaiah 59:21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith Yahweh; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith Yahweh, from henceforth and for ever.
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither can they have the understanding of the treasures yet to be revealed in Christ, unless it is revealed through His Holy Spirit. A crown of righteousness is reserved for all of His children that Love His appearing. Those that walk according to the spirit of this world, are deaf, blind and without any knowledge of the mysteries of Christ and are the servants of sin unto death (1 Cor 2:7-16; Rom 6:16-23; Isa 64:4, 2 Tim 4:8).
The New Covenant of Christ is the only one available
Yahshua’s New Covenant would not be the same as the covenant that He made with their forefathers in the day when He led them out of the land of Egypt (Heb 8:6-13).
In Christ, however, all can be made alive through His Spirit of truth, escaping the law of sin unto death.
The New Covenant of Christ was the promise to all of the children of Abraham, who is the father of all that had a like faith in Yahshua the Messiah (2 Tim 4:8; Rom 4:16, 8:2).
Prov 13:7 There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.
The man that spends the majority of his time, talents and treasures serving the flesh will inherit corruption. Those who walk in the Spirit of Christ will inherit incorruption and eternal life.
We are to seek first the Kingdom of God, and the New Covenant of Christ. The things of this world will indeed perish and are but illusions and distractions from the real treasures in Christ. When we walk in the Spirit, all of these things that refer to Spiritual Blessings will be added unto us (Gal 6:8; Math 6:19-20; Luke 12:21-34; Math 6:33).
2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
The New Covenant of Christ is Spiritual and is put into our minds and written in our hearts (Heb 8:10).
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith Yahweh, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
The New Covenant of Christ was made for the new Israel of God (Gal 6:15-16).
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith Yahweh, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Mark 12:29 And Yahshua answered him, the first of all the commandments is, hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord:
A mysterious passage in the Old Testament is that the Lord God is one Lord (Deut 6:4). Those that accept the new Covenant of Christ can understand this and other difficult doctrines as a result of the Holy Spirit that teaches us all things (John 14:26). Yahshua confirmed that the Lord God was indeed one Lord, when He said, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30-32).
The Old Testament promise made to Abraham was fulfilled by the ushering in of the New Covenant of Christ. Justification is for all of the faithful that believe on the name of Yahshua the Messiah, however, the fire and sword of His wrath will consume the ungodly (Gal 3:14-16, Isa 1:21-28).
- What think ye of Christ?
- He is the image of God, and the Light of Life to all men.
- He is the Word of God that spoke all things into existence.
- He alone covered the sins of the chosen ones.
- He is the Lamb of God, the Messiah and the King of Kings.
- He is the right hand of God with all power.
- He establishes the New Covenant
Heb 1:1-2 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by the Son, who is appointed heir of all things, who also made the world
The New Covenant of Christ enables His new laws to be put into the minds of the Elect and written in their hearts (Heb 8:8-10). These people are the true Israel of God (Gal 6:16).
Gal 6:15-16 For in the Messiah Yahshua neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
Rom 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
Like Israel after the flesh that had rejected the Father, so too would these children of Judah reject the Lord and forfeit the right to be redeemed, or to be affectionately called the Israel of God (Jer 7:11; Math 21:13; Jer 7:11; John 1:9-14; Rev 2:9; Rev 3:9). Born again believers are under the new law of Christ, and are the true Israel of God, for we worship Him in Spirit and in truth.
Becoming Born Again is when you have received the sealing of Christ, and His Holy Spirit of truth resides in you.
Anyone with Spiritual discernment in Christ knows that He declared the false house of Judah to be desolate; their house was declared desolate as was their religion (Math 23:38; Acts 26:5; Gal 1:13-14).
Christ came to confirm the covenant with many, and only Born Again believers are the true Israel of God. These are the only ones to be recognized as the children of God. The true Israel of God, represent all who are in Christ. Those who continue in His covenant or the new law of Christ are indeed rightful Heirs of the Kingdom (Heb 8:6-10).
Eph 5:6-11 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth; Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Rom 9:23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
Rom 9:30 What shall we say then? That the Nations, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
The righteousness of Faith is the only way to please God, and it is not reserved for the self-righteous who claim to be justified in the Old Law that has vanished (Rom 4:13-16, 8:2, Gal 3:24-25).
Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
Israel (after the flesh), would not succeed in achieving the law of righteousness that is only available through Faith in Christ (Rom 9:30-33)
After the new law of Christ was established, the claim of justification through the law of Moses would simply represent religious deception.
Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Gal 3:19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
The seed that should come to whom the promise was made, is in reference to Christ.
Gen 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
This blessing was to Abraham, not to modern day Israel. Mathew speaks of the generations that start with Abraham, continue through David and end with Christ. The blessings of Abraham come on all that have faith in and through Christ. The reason for this is that the promises were made to Abraham and his seed, which is Christ (Gal 3:14-16).
